  • Bill Gowder

Pastor Bill moved to Tennessee 20 years ago, but grew up a Georgia boy. He came to know Christ during his sophomore year at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. His wife Becky is the love of his life.  Together, they have three kids - Katie (a Nurse Practitioner) is married to Jim (a 4th year Dental School student); Kara (a UT grad student in Education); and Matthew (an energetic 6th grader).  Pastor Bill enjoys his family, watching sports, doing home projects, and fitting in golf and hunting when he can.  The Gowders began their fruitful ministry at First Baptist Church in February 2012 and appreciate the loving support of the sweet church family.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

    - Jeremiah 29:11

  • Scott KidD

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

    - Philippians 3:13-14

  • TJ Whitehead

    MinistER TO YOUTH

TJ and his wife, Kayla, both grew up in East Tennessee.  Having met on mission in Ecuador, they discovered God's Will for their lives was to serve Him through ministering to the Church.  They have been ministering to the youth of FBCF since August, 2016, and it is their passion to equip the Church to make disciples of all nations and to present themselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God.  TJ received his Bachelor's in Chemistry at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and now studies Discipleship & Family Ministry at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

    - Galatians 2:20

  • Bryan Long
