Hi Folks!  I hope you are having a great day!  It has been wonderful having a pleasant spring, huh?

I wanted to catch you up on a few things…

• We have been having some good turnouts on Wednesdays lately, so it is good to see people getting back out.  This week (tomorrow night) David Hipps will be wrapping up the Soul Detox study and the Ladies class will wrap up as well.  Next week, May 19, we could use your help to take flyers around to some different neighborhoods to promote the Kids Karnival and VBS.  Just come at 6:30 and Pastor Scott will assign you an area.  Come to the Children’s Center.  The Wednesday night after that will be VBS.  Remember, we will have an adult class this time, and Brent Caldwell will be doing a weeklong study on the Tabernacle.
• We can use some help putting together our new children’s playground.  At this point, we need a crew of up 6-8 men & women to come on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – noon.  Please hit Reply to let Tammie know that you can help so that we can make sure enough help is on the way.
• The Anniversary Offering is looking great!  Even though many more of our church family are now giving throughout the year (which is why we are well ahead of last year’s giving at this point in the year), the total is really good.  The total Anniversary Offering last year was $21,700, and so far for this year it is $18,356.  Of course there is one Sunday to go, if you want to contribute.  This special offering is going to make another substantial dent in our debt.
• The Kids Karnival is Saturday, May 22 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and VBS is May 24-28 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. BE INVITING PEOPLE!!!

From the comments I have heard, I hope that the 3-part message I just shared was a help in understanding our times and what we are standing up against.  I trust you are standing strong and will continue to do so.
