Hi Folks! I trust this finds you well and off to a good start for the year. On behalf of our Church Staff and Deacons, I wanted to give you at least a tentative game plan for starting back to in-person services. We will put out another email next week to change or to confirm, but here is where things stand presently. Part of the hesitation is that there could still be a post-Christmas surge in Covid-19 cases like there was with the post-Thanksgiving surge. That should play itself out in the next week or so.
The goal is to gradually phase back in our times of meeting together. We are also seeking to comply with Governor Lee’s request that we not meet in person until January 19.
At this point, here is the plan…
Sunday, January 10 – online only
Sunday, January 17 – online only
Sunday, January 24 – No S.S., A.M. Service in-person
Sunday, January 31 – No S.S., A.M. Service in-person
Wednesday night, February 3 – AWANA & Youth only, no adults
Sunday, February 7 – combined adult S.S. in the auditorium, A.M. Service in-person
Wednesday night, February 10 – AWANA & Youth only, no adults
Sunday, February 14 – combined adult S.S. in the auditorium, A.M. Service in-person
Wednesday night, February 17 – All ages meet (and continuing)
Sunday, February 21 – regular S.S., A.M. Service in-person (and continuing)
Notes…
– When we go to in-person, we will continue to have Facebook Live, of course, for those still choosing to watch from home.
– When we have combined Adult S.S. classes, please retain your seat for the morning worship service.
– When we begin meeting in-person again, we ask that you please wear a mask while entering and exiting the buildings. It is your option once you are seated.
– This does not cover Sunday P.M. services. We will continue to hold off on those until further notice due to challenges with cleaning the facilities.
Again, I thank you for your understanding and support of our church leadership as we have tried to navigate difficult waters. I have spoken with a number of pastor friends who have had experienced much turmoil within their churches over the decision-making pertaining to Covid-19. Thank you so much for continuing to live out our Core Value of Intentional Unity!
God bless. Take care. See you soon, in-person, Lord willing!
Love you folks,
Pastor Bill
