ACTS 1:8 … The Acts 1:8 Missions Team is responsible for providing leadership and direction for our Church in the area of missions, including local outreach endeavors. If you would like more information, please contact Weston Smith at (270) 792-2992.
AWANA* … With an unwavering commitment to the gospel, Awana is being used to reach over 4 million kids every week in 120 countries, giving children and youth from every background an opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus for a lifetime. Baptism Service Team … This team assists the Pastors in preparing for the ordinance of baptism by helping with the following: assist the baptism candidate in completing the baptism form, assist the baptism candidate with baptismal robe, towels, hair dryer and bag for wet clothes. Bereavement * … The Bereavement Food Ministry Team cares for our bereaved members by serving meals during the funeral. If you have questions about this ministry or would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Kay Bateman at (865) 919-2612 or Tammie McNabb at (865) 995-2130.
Budget and Finance Team … This team administers the church’s finances according to the annual budget and specific decisions made throughout the year in the church’s business meetings.
Camp Lejeune * … Camp Lejeune is a youth and adult mission trip that takes place for one week during the month of June each year. It is held at the Camp Lejeune Marine Base and the New River Air Station in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where we do a Vacation Bible School for the children of our Armed Forces personnel. Communion Ministry Team … This team is responsible for set-up and clean-up of communion supplies when the Church observes the Lord’s Supper.
Decorating Team … This team decorates the church for various seasons and events. If you would like more information about this ministry, please contact Lorena Robinson at (865) 773-9243.
Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Ministry (Operation Christmas Child) * … Since 1993, the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 100 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children. Samaritan’s Purse and its partners deliver the gifts to children in more than 130 countries on six continents. GriefShare * … The GriefShare ministry is designed for those that are hurting with loss. If you or someone you know is seeking God’s touch that will lead you from grief to healing, then GriefShare is for you. If you are interested in the ministry, please contact Larry Bradley at (865) 599-9910.

Children’s Worship experience that reinforces what the kids learn in their Sunday School classes. Designed for all kids ages 4 years through 5th grade utilizing drama, video, biblical teaching, and music to present biblical truth and virtues in an unforgettable manner.Children’s Worship takes place in the Children’s Center during our Adult Worship service. Nicaragua Missions Team … Our Acts 1:8 Missions Team has made an intentional effort to connect with and support local pastors and missionaries as they seek to glorify God by serving their local communities. The Nicaragua Team has connected with a local pastor who oversees over forty other local church pastors. The Nicaragua Team helps support all of these pastors through teaching, resources, gifts and partnering with other ministries that help present to Gospel of Jesus Christ to local’s through the work of BMDMI. Nominating Ministry … This team approves and nominates members for all Church elected leadership positions with include: officers, organizational workers, support ministries, ministry teams, teachers, and other positions deemed necessary. The Team is also responsible for the development and/or revisions of Church policies, procedures, job descriptions, and performance evaluations for all standing Teams and any special appointed Teams as requested.
Personnel … This team is responsible for writing, keeping and updating personnel policy and guidelines, recommending the need for additional staff positions, preparing and proposing the annual compensation recommendation for the compensated staff, assisting any personnel search ministry team in the employment of a ministerial staff member, and assisting in dealing with disciplinary action for staff members.
Preschool * … The Preschool Team provides child care for children ages birth – 3 years old for morning and evening worship services and other special Church services/events. If you would like to minister in this area, please contact Cheryl Newberry at (865) 995-0327.
Christian Job Search Resource … Job board to help Christians find relevant jobs with strong Christian values and discusses religion accommodation and discrimination protection.

SALT Ministry * … This ministry helps church members and members of the community with small house repairs. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Jim Raines at (865) 660-5072.
Softball * …Adult slow-pitch softball is used to be a first contact point with new and potential believers. At these games, we strive to show good sportsmanship and Christ-like behavior to all who watch and play.

Trustees … The Trustees act as legal representatives as directed by the Church.
Teller’s Ministry … This team is responsible for counting all general tithes and offerings coming into the Church.
Ushers * … They primarily assist with distributing bulletins, visitor cards and handout materials and collecting the offerings. If you would like more information, please contact Rodney McNabb at (865) 995-9435.
Women’s Ministry Leadership Team … The Mission Statement for the Women’s Ministry is… “Connecting women together in Christ to grow in love with God, his Word and each other, and to share his love with others.” This ministry involves a variety of events and different Bible study opportunities. Worship Ministry * … The worship ministry at FBCF strives to establish an atmosphere of praise which is uplifting and reverent. Our team of audio, visual, musicians, choir members, soloist/ensembles and support staff commit many hours to planning, rehearsing and developing musical presentations that appeal to our diverse congregants. The musical style ranges from traditional hymns to contemporary songs and covers multiple genres. In addition to the weekly church services, our worship team also presents special music for various holidays and other community events. The audio/video recording department supports our home-bound ministry on a weekly schedule and supplies video-on-demand for special requests and our website.
